Your new role

Supply teachers play a crucial role in supporting schools during critical periods by providing specialized subject cover or general teaching assistance when regular staff are absent. The duration of these roles varies, and many temporary positions can lead to permanent opportunities. As a Hays Supply Teacher, you can choose your working days and decline roles that aren’t suitable. You can work full-time, part-time, or flexibly according to your preferences.

We work with schools in Ormskirk, Burscough, Skelmersdale, Wigan, Chorley, Atherton, Tyldesley, Lowton, and Golborne. Wherever you live, we have job opportunities for you. Long-term supply roles often lead to permanent positions, making supply teaching an excellent way to showcase your talent to local schools.

What you'll need to succeed

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or relevant teaching qualifications (PGCE, QTS, QTLS).
• A minimum of 2 months' UK teaching experience in the past 4 years (including university placements).
• Strong communication and organizational skills.
• Adherence to professional standards and commitment to student development.
• You must have the right to work in the UK.
