Job summary

Teaching Personnel Ltd in Burnley is seeking a dedicated KS2 Special Educational Needs (SEN) Teacher to support children with additional learning needs. This role offers an opportunity to deliver tailored lessons and work within a supportive school environment.

You will plan differentiated lessons, develop EHCPs where needed, collaborate with Teaching Assistants, therapists, and families, and monitor pupil progress to help pupils reach their potential.

Qualifications

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent teaching qualification.
• Experience teaching children with Special Educational Needs.
• Strong understanding of inclusive teaching strategies and differentiation.

Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver engaging, differentiated lessons tailored to individual learning needs.
• Create a positive and inclusive learning environment where every pupil can thrive.
• Work closely with Teaching Assistants, therapists, parents, and external agencies to support student progress.
• Develop and implement Education, Health and Care Plans (EHCPs) and individual learning targets.
• Monitor, assess, and report on pupil progress.
• Support pupils with a range of additional needs, including ASC, ADHD, Speech and Language needs, SEMH, and MLD.
