Job summary

Vision for Education is recruiting a dedicated and enthusiastic Primary Classroom Assistant to join a welcoming primary school in West Kirby from November 2026.

The successful candidate will support teaching and learning in a KS2 class, work with individuals and small groups to reinforce learning, and help create a safe, inclusive environment where every child can thrive.

Qualifications

• Experience working with children in a primary school or similar setting.
• Patient, caring and enthusiastic with a genuine passion for supporting young learners.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• Confident building positive relationships with pupils, staff and parents.
• Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or willingness to obtain one.

Responsibilities

• Support teaching and learning within a Key Stage 2 classroom.
• Work with individual pupils and small groups to reinforce learning and build confidence.
• Encourage positive behaviour and help pupils remain engaged throughout the school day.
• Assist with preparing learning resources and classroom activities.
• Help create a safe, inclusive and positive learning environment where every child can succeed.
