Job summary

Premier Education is recruiting a full-time Level 3 Teaching Assistant to join a primary school in Tameside from September 2026 until the October half-term. The role focuses on KS2 support, delivering targeted interventions and Read Write Inc.

sessions, with a strong emphasis on helping pupils engage confidently with the curriculum. The position requires a Level 3 TA qualification, KS2 classroom experience, and the ability to lead small-group interventions.

Qualifications

• A recognised Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification.
• Experience in a Key Stage 2 classroom.
• Practical experience delivering Read Write Inc.

Responsibilities

• Supporting teaching and learning across a Key Stage 2 classroom.
• Working with the class teacher to help pupils access the curriculum.
• Leading targeted interventions with small groups.
• Delivering Read Write Inc. sessions effectively.
• Supporting pupils with literacy, numeracy and wider classroom activities.
• Identifying when pupils need additional guidance or challenge.
• Encouraging pupils' confidence, independence and participation.
• Maintaining a positive, focused and inclusive classroom environment.
• Providing feedback to the class teacher on engagement and progress.
