Job summary

Scholar Green Primary School is seeking an enthusiastic Key Stage 2 Leader to join for a one-year maternity cover, combining leadership time with teaching Year 5. A Computing specialism would be highly desirable, with opportunities to contribute to Computing development across the school.

The role includes leading and developing provision across Key Stage 2, ensuring high expectations for pupils, collaboration with colleagues, and contributing to school improvement.

Qualifications

• Qualified Teacher Status.

Responsibilities

• Lead and support the development of teaching and learning across Key Stage 2.
• Promote high expectations for pupils' achievement, behaviour, attendance and personal development.
• Monitor and evaluate the quality of curriculum and teaching and identify appropriate areas for development.
• Support colleagues in developing their classroom practice through professional dialogue, collaboration and coaching.
• Use assessment and other appropriate information to identify pupils' needs and inform teaching.
• Ensure that pupils who face barriers to learning, including pupils with SEND and disadvantaged pupils, are supported to access an ambitious curriculum.
• Contribute to school improvement planning and evaluate the impact of improvement priorities.
• Support effective transition and progression across Key Stage 2.
• Work collaboratively with colleagues, parents and the wider school community.
• Contribute to wider school leadership and improvement priorities.
• Help foster a positive culture of high expectations, professional development and continuous improvement.
