Job summary

Vision for Education in Sunderland is seeking a dedicated Higher Level Teaching Assistant to support Key Stage 2, cover PPA, and deliver targeted interventions. The role focuses on encouraging pupil progress through engaging lessons, collaboration with teachers and a positive learning environment.

The candidate should have experience with primary school children, SEND, and be a strong team player with good communication skills to support teaching and learning.

Qualifications

• Experience of working with primary school aged children.
• Experience of working with pupils with SEND.
• A passion for the progress of primary school pupils.
• An ability to work as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Cover PPA sessions as required.
• Deliver targeted interventions to support pupil progress.
• Plan and deliver engaging learning with teachers.
• Promote positive behaviour and an inclusive environment.
• Work closely with teachers to support learning goals.
