Job summary

Leigh Beck Junior School is looking for an experienced Cover Supervisor to work with KS2 pupils, teaching sets and covering teachers for PPA. The role requires a commitment to high standards, excellent numeracy and literacy, and the ability to use ICT effectively.

The successful candidate will have an NVQ 3 for Teaching Assistants or equivalent qualification or experience, and must speak fluent English. The school values CPD and safeguarding best practices.

Qualifications

• NVQ 3 for Teaching Assistants or equivalent qualification or experience.
• Experience with children of relevant age in a learning environment.
• GCSE grade C in Maths and English or equivalent.
• Able to use ICT effectively.
• Knowledge of the national curriculum and learning programmes/strategies.
• Ability to develop positive relationships with children and adults.

Responsibilities

• Teach sets and cover teachers for PPA for KS2.
• Support learning and maintain a positive classroom environment.
