Job summary

Teach Now is seeking a confident Year 3 or Year 4 Class Teacher to join a supportive primary school in Harrow for two important terms. You will take responsibility for an established KS2 class where pupils are generally achieving well and ready for thoughtful challenge, using clear routines, purposeful teaching and responsive assessment.

The post requires QTS, KS2 experience, strong classroom and behaviour management, and a willingness to teach Religious Education within the school's faith-based

Qualifications

  • QTS required.
  • KS2 teaching experience in a primary setting.
  • Strong knowledge of the KS2 National Curriculum.
  • Experience planning, assessing and adapting lessons for different needs and attainment levels.
  • Confident classroom and behaviour management.
  • Willingness to teach Religious Education within a faith-based ethos.
  • Right to work in the UK and ability to complete safeguarding checks.

Responsibilities

  • Plan and teach engaging lessons across the KS2 curriculum.
  • Maintain clear routines and positive behaviour throughout the school day.
  • Use assessment to identify gaps, address misconceptions and provide appropriate challenge.
  • Adapt teaching for pupils with varied learning needs, including SEND.
  • Work closely with teaching assistants and colleagues to maintain continuity.
  • Teach Religious Education in line with the school's faith-based ethos.
  • Communicate clearly with families and support pupil wellbeing and progress.
