Job summary

Harris Academy Chobham is seeking a committed Class Teacher for Key Stage 2 to join a supportive federation community in Greater London. You will plan and deliver high-quality lessons, track progress, and contribute to a positive learning environment for pupils aged 7–11.

The role requires QTS or equivalent, a recognised undergraduate degree, and proven success in primary teaching. You will work with colleagues to share best practices and support pupil progression across the school.

Qualifications

• QTS (or equivalent) and an undergraduate degree.
• Successful experience of teaching the primary curriculum.
• Good understanding of current theory and best practice in teaching and learning.
• Good subject knowledge of core National Curriculum.
• Good understanding of child development and progression and how this impacts on planning.
• Understanding of effective strategies for managing behaviour within the classroom and in accordance with the school’s policy.
• An understanding of equal opportunity issues and how they can be addressed in schools.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.
