Job summary

First for Education is recruiting a Primary Year 2 Teacher for Sutton Coldfield. This part-time, temporary contract starts September 23rd 2026 and offers daily pay between £160 and £175, based on experience.

The school values a nurturing approach and provides a strong induction for KS1. The role requires QTS, solid EYFS and phonics knowledge, and a collaborative, reflective practitioner committed to pupil progress.

Qualifications

• QTS with a passion for KS1 education.
• Strong understanding of the EYFS framework and phonics schemes.
• Patient, nurturing and creative approach to teaching.
• Excellent teamwork and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver high-quality KS1 lessons.
• Support early literacy and numeracy development in young learners.
• Work closely with teaching assistants and SENCO to support children with additional needs.
• Communicate effectively with parents and carers to support children's progress.
• Engage in professional development and training to enhance teaching skills.
