Job summary

Tradewind Recruitment LTD. in Wigan is seeking an experienced KS1 Teaching Assistant to join a friendly primary school on a long-term basis, starting in November. You will support the KS1 class, lead small groups in phonics and literacy, and help with observations and pupil profiles.

Qualifications

• Level 2 or 3 Teaching Assistant qualification is required.
• Proven KS1 experience in a school setting.
• Patient, creative and energetic approach to learning.
• Enhanced DBS on Update Service or willingness to apply for a new one.
• Legal right to work in the UK.

Responsibilities

• Support the Class Teacher in delivering the KS1 curriculum.
• Lead small group activities focusing on Phonics, literacy and numeracy.
• Perform observations and contribute to student profiles/assessments.
• Create a safe, engaging and inclusive learning environment indoors and outdoors.
• Support pupils with diverse needs to help every child thrive.
