Job summary

The South West Apprenticeship Company is recruiting a Key Stage 1 Teaching Assistant Apprentice in Liverpool. This is a wonderful chance to earn while you learn, gaining support from experienced staff while engaging with all aspects of school life.

Your duties will include implementing safeguarding policies, contributing to a positive school ethos, and providing support for learners' emotional and social needs. Successful candidates will work 32.5 hours per week during term time only, earning £8.00 per hour.

Qualifications

• GCSE Grades 4 to 9 (C to A*) in Maths & English is required.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to the overall ethos and aims of the school.
• Implement safeguarding policies and safe practice.
• Work in partnership with staff and parents/carers.
• Reflect on own practice and identify development opportunities.
• Understand learners' specific needs and provide support.
• Establish positive relationships and promote good behaviours.
• Support learners' wellbeing and personal care.
• Deliver individual and small group teaching.
• Support assessment and planning with the teacher.
• Contribute to a safe and stimulating learning environment.
• Support or lead enrichment activities.
