Job summary

Milk Education is partnering with a well-regarded primary school in North Liverpool to recruit a dedicated SEND Teaching Assistant for a full-time, long-term role starting September 2026. You will support SEND pupils across KS1 on a one-to-one basis.

Job description

Role: SEND Teaching Assistant

Location: Liverpool - L3 area

Start: September 2026 - long-term

Milk Education is partnering with a well-regarded primary school in North Liverpool to recruit a dedicated and compassionate SEND Teaching Assistant for a full-time, long-term role starting immediately. This SEND Teaching Assistant position involves working across both KS1, supporting SEND pupils with a variety of additional needs on a one-to-one basis.

You will be given a timetable as to where you will be working in the morning and in the afternoon, and this temporary position will start immediately and run until March 2027 . The role is full-time - 8.30 am-3.00pm

The ideal candidate will be patient, nurturing, and highly adaptable to the individual learning needs of each child. You will play a key role in supporting the pupil's educational and emotional development within a structured and caring environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide one-to-one support for KS1 and KS2 pupils with additional needs
  • Supporting children with ASD, ADHD and SEN Needs
  • Keep the child engaged and on task throughout the school day
  • Prepare daily resources and support learning activities
