GSL Education are pleased to offer an exciting opportunity for a skilled KS1 Teacher to join a welcoming and forward-thinking primary school in Skegness. This is a well-regarded teaching role to commence immediately and is open to both experienced practitioners and enthusiastic early career teachers.

About the Role / Role Overview:

The successful KS1 Teacher will be responsible for delivering engaging and inclusive lessons that meet the diverse needs of learners in Key Stage 1. This role requires an understanding of phonics, literacy, numeracy, and the ability to create a nurturing and supportive learning environment that helps pupils flourish academically and socially.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan and deliver creative, well-structured lessons in line with the Key Stage 1 curriculum.
  • Assess pupils’ progress regularly and adapt teaching strategies to meet individual needs.
  • Establish a safe, positive, and stimulating classroom environment conducive to learning.
  • Support pupils’ emotional wellbeing, social development, and behaviour management.
  • Work collaboratively with teaching assistants, colleagues, and parents to ensure pupil success.
  • Uphold high standards of safeguarding, inclusion, and professional conduct.

Job Requirements:

  • Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) in the UK.
  • Previous teaching experience within Key Stage 1, including lesson planning and classroom management.
  • Strong knowledge of the KS1 curriculum.
  • Ability to build positive relationships with young learners and support their individual development.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
  • Have an updated CV (covering the last ten years barring any unexplained gaps) and an enhanced DBS registered to the Update Service (or be willing to apply for one).
