Experienced KS1 Teacher required for a two-term contract starting in September 2025

Hays Education is currently working with a large primary school to recruit an experienced Year 1 teacher for a two-term contract starting in September 2025.
The role is initially for two terms but could be extended for the full academic year.
The school is welcoming applications from ECTs and experienced teachers with recent Year 1 experience.

Your new role

As a Year 1 teacher within this long-term opportunity, you will be responsible for planning, marking, assessing, attending staff meetings, training, and parents' evenings. You will need to quickly understand your class to deliver stimulating lessons aligned with the national curriculum, utilizing available resources to maximize pupils' learning impact.

What you'll need to succeed

• QTS status
• Experience teaching Year 1
• Excellent subject knowledge and curriculum understanding
• High expectations of behaviour and achievement
• A passion for teaching and learning
• A commitment to professional development and safeguarding
• A current DBS on the update service or willingness to acquire one through Hays
• Satisfactory references
