Job summary

GSL Education is seeking a KS1 Teacher to join a primary school in Harlow on a long-term supply basis from January 2027. The role entails teaching a KS1 class, planning lessons and supporting pupil development in line with the National Curriculum.

The candidate will plan, deliver and assess lessons, manage behaviour, and work with teaching assistants to provide an inclusive learning environment. ECTs with QTS are welcome to apply.

Qualifications

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) is required.
• Experience teaching in a primary school, ideally KS1.
• Good classroom and behaviour management skills.
• Ability to plan and deliver lessons meeting learning needs.
• Strong communication and organisational skills.

Responsibilities

• Teach a KS1 class on a full-time basis.

Job description

GSL Education are recruiting for a KS1 Teacher to work full time at a primary school in Harlow from January 2027. This is a long term supply position, suitable for a qualified teacher looking for their next teaching role.

The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching a Key Stage 1 class, planning lessons and supporting pupils' learning and development in line with the National Curriculum.

The Role

• Teaching a KS1 class on a full-time basis.

• Planning, preparing and delivering lessons in line with the National Curriculum.

• Assessing and monitoring pupils' progress.

• Managing classroom behaviour and establishing clear routines.

• Creating an inclusive classroom environment that supports pupils with different learning needs.

• Working alongside teaching assistants and other school staff.

• Completing marking, assessment and other usual teaching responsibilities.

The Successful Candidate Will Have

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).

• Experience teaching in a primary school, ideally within KS1.

• Good classroom and behaviour management skills.

• The ability to plan and deliver lessons that meet pupils' learning needs.

• Strong communication and organisational skills.

• A reliable and professional approach.
