Job summary

GSL Education is seeking a KS1 Teacher to join a primary school in Harlow on a long-term supply basis from January 2027. The role entails teaching a KS1 class, planning lessons and supporting pupil development in line with the National Curriculum.

The candidate will plan, deliver and assess lessons, manage behaviour, and work with teaching assistants to provide an inclusive learning environment. ECTs with QTS are welcome to apply.

Qualifications

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) is required.
• Experience teaching in a primary school, ideally KS1.
• Good classroom and behaviour management skills.
• Ability to plan and deliver lessons meeting learning needs.
• Strong communication and organisational skills.

Responsibilities

• Teach a KS1 class on a full-time basis.
• Plan, prepare and deliver lessons aligned with the National Curriculum.
• Assess and monitor pupil progress.
• Manage classroom behaviour and routines.
• Create an inclusive classroom environment for diverse needs.
• Collaborate with teaching assistants and staff.
• Marking, assessment and other usual teaching duties.
