Job summary

Aspire People are recruiting experienced Teaching Assistants to work across primary schools in Manchester and surrounding areas, with opportunities supporting Year 1 and Year 2 pupils. You will be involved in phonics, early reading and writing, and supporting maths and other curriculum activities.

The ideal candidate will have KS1 experience, a positive and nurturing approach, and be available for full-time or regular part-time work.

Qualifications

• Has relevant experience working within a UK primary school.
• Has recent KS1 experience.
• Understands early primary learning and development.
• Confident supporting phonics and early literacy.
• Positive and nurturing approach.
• Available for full-time or regular part-time work.

Responsibilities

• Support teaching and learning within KS1 classrooms.
• Assist pupils with phonics, early reading and writing.
• Support Maths and other curriculum activities.
• Work with small groups and individual pupils.
• Help pupils develop confidence and independence.
• Support classroom routines and positive behaviour.
• Assist pupils with SEND where required.
• Work closely with the class teacher.
