Qualifications

• Holds Qualified Teacher Status and has recent primary classroom experience.
• Confident teaching Year 1 or Year 2 and understands the KS1 curriculum.
• Uses assessment and feedback to help pupils take their next steps.
• Able to adapt lessons for pupils with SEND and varied learning needs.

Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver engaging lessons that build secure foundations in reading, writing and mathematics.
• Assess pupils' learning and use the information to plan clear next steps.
• Establish consistent routines and create a calm, positive classroom environment.
• Adapt teaching so pupils with different strengths and needs can participate and make progress.
• Work closely with teaching assistants and other colleagues to support learning across the class.
• Communicate appropriately with families and staff about pupils' learning and wellbeing.
