Job summary

Teaching Personnel is seeking a Graduate Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming 2-form entry primary school in CF14, Cardiff, starting in the first week of November. You will support Key Stage 1 pupils with literacy, phonics and numeracy through targeted interventions and classroom help.

This role offers hands-on school-based experience for graduates considering Primary Teaching, Educational Psychology, Speech & Language Therapy, Child Development, or SEN careers.

Qualifications

• A recent graduate or due to graduate soon.
• Passionate about supporting children and education.
• Positive, proactive and eager to learn.
• Confident building relationships with pupils and staff.
• Able to commit to a full-time role from November.

Responsibilities

• Delivering literacy, phonics and numeracy interventions to small groups.
• Providing 1:1 support to pupils who require additional guidance.
• Supporting class teachers with engaging learning activities.
• Helping to build confidence and independence in young learners.
• Monitoring pupil progress and celebrating achievements.
• Contributing to a positive and inclusive learning environment.
