Job summary

Teach Plus are currently recruiting for a passionate KS1 Class Teacher to join a welcoming primary school in Islington, starting January 2027. This full-time role suits experienced teachers as well as Early Career Teachers, with a negotiable Main Pay Scale salary (MPS1–MPS6).

The successful candidate will deliver engaging, creative lessons across the KS1 curriculum, track pupil progress and foster an inclusive, supportive learning environment that motivates young learners to achieve and develop

Qualifications

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent qualification.
• Experience as KS1 Class Teacher or similar; applications invited from ECTs.
• Strong subject/curriculum knowledge relevant to KS1.
• Enhanced DBS certificate with Update Service.
• Right to work in the UK.

Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver engaging, differentiated KS1 lessons aligned with the national curriculum.
• Create an inclusive, stimulating classroom that supports independence and achievement.
• Assess and track pupil progress, adapting teaching to individual needs.
• Deliver phonics, early reading, writing and maths to develop foundational skills.
• Support pupils with SEND and EAL.
• Collaborate with teaching assistants, colleagues and senior leaders to maintain high standards.
