Job summary

Lowerhouses CE Primary School is advertising a fixed term Educational Teaching Assistant to join us. The role covers 17.75 hours per week, supporting a child in Key Stage 1 from Monday to Friday 11:30am to 3:15pm, until 31 August 2027.

The successful candidate will be enthusiastic, reliable and have good communication and interpersonal skills. Experience with SEND and working in a school environment is desirable. An enhanced DBS disclosure will be required.

Qualifications

• Experience of working with children with SEND is desirable.
• Ability to work as part of a team and build positive relationships with the children, staff and parents.
• An enhanced DBS disclosure will be required for this job.

Responsibilities

• Support a child in Key Stage 1 during sessions.
• Assist the class teacher with group activities and classroom routines.
• Safeguarding and safeguarding-related duties as part of school policy.
