Job summary

Mercor seeks native Korean annotators to build high-quality labeled training data for document AI. You will annotate structure, bound regions, and transcribe Hangul with exact character accuracy on diverse page layouts.

Work is detail-focused and reviewed by senior Korean experts to ensure consistency across hundreds of pages, including handwritten and multi-column documents from real sources.

Qualifications

• Native Korean speaker with Hangul mastery.
• Experience in bilingual transcription/editing is a plus.
• Character-level accuracy is essential.

Responsibilities

• Open and check a task: pages provided; you do not source documents yourself.
• Annotate structure: identify and bound every meaningful region and assign component type and reading-order index.
• Record relationships: link each region to its parent figure or table.
• Transcribe faithfully: reproduce all text exactly in Hangul, flagging illegible regions.
• Capture page metadata: language, document type, source, page dimensions, and flags for tables, formulas and handwriting.
• Review a colleague's work: second Korean expert reviews each task.
