Job summary

W3Global in London is seeking an API/DevOps specialist for a 6-month onsite contract. You will work on cloud-native API platforms, design APIs with OpenAPI, and secure gateways using OAuth 2.0, OIDC, JWT, and mTLS. Experience with API management (Apigee, Kong, MuleSoft) and DevOps tooling (CI/CD, Kubernetes, Terraform) is essential.

Advanced proficiency in Golang or Lua is required, with strong cloud-native operations and gateway security skills for the project.

Qualifications

• Advanced proficiency in one or more programming languages (Golang or Lua).
• Hands-on cloud-native operations experience.
• Experience with API management technologies (Apigee, Kong, MuleSoft).
• Strong understanding of OpenAPI Specification (OAS) for RESTful APIs.

Location: London

Duration: 6 Months contract

5 days per week onsite work

Required Qualifications, Capabilities, And Skills

• Programming languages: Advanced proficiency in one or more programming languages - Golang or Lua Script.


• Cloud-native operations: Practical, hands-on cloud-native experience.


• API management: Professional experience with API management technologies (e.g., Apigee, Kong, or MuleSoft).


• API design: Strong understanding of the OpenAPI Specification (OAS) for RESTful APIs.


• API security: Hands-on experience securing APIs at the gateway, including OAuth 2.0, OpenID Connect (OIDC), JWT validation, key-auth, and mutual TLS (mTLS).


• DevOps toolchain: Expertise across the DevOps toolchain, including CI/CD, Kubernetes, and Terraform.

Preferred Qualifications, Capabilities, And Skills

• AWS: Experience with AWS services, including ECS, EKS, and MSK.


• API gateway: Hands-on experience with Kong API Gateway.


• Golang: Proficiency in the Golang programming language.


• Lua: Proficiency in the Lua programming language.
