Job summary

ProPhoenix Corporation in London seeks a seasoned API governance professional for a contract role. You will lead enterprise API governance strategy, define standards, and oversee lifecycle management, with hands-on Kong API Gateway implementation and security controls.

You will collaborate with enterprise architects, security, and integration teams to implement traffic management, monitoring KPIs, and governance dashboards, delivering robust API programs across the organization.

Qualifications

Strong hands-on Kong API Gateway experience (Enterprise or OSS).
Solid grasp of REST, OpenAPI/Swagger, and API security standards.
Cloud experience (Azure/AWS/GCP), CI/CD, DevOps.

Responsibilities

Lead enterprise API governance strategy, standards, and lifecycle management.
Designing, implementing, and administering Kong API Gateway (traffic management, routing, plugins).
Defining API security controls (OAuth2, OIDC, JWT, MTLS).
Working closely with enterprise architects, security teams, and integration/middleware teams.
Establishing API monitoring, KPIs, and governance dashboards.

Location: London (3 days onsite per week)
