Job summary

Marling & Evans in Huddersfield, West Yorkshire, is seeking a Knotter / Textile Operative to join our production team. You will prepare yarns for weaving, ensure joins are neat, and help maintain production quality.

We are a traditional Yorkshire mill blending craftsmanship with modern textile manufacturing for UK and international customers. Competitive salary, pension, and generous holiday are offered.

Qualifications

• Previous textile experience preferred in weaving, knotting, or yarn preparation.
• Excellent attention to detail and manual dexterity.
• Able to work accurately and consistently in a fast-paced production environment.

Responsibilities

• Knot broken ends and prepare yarns for weaving operations.
• Ensure yarn joins are secure, neat and production-ready.
• Support the smooth running of weaving and textile production processes.
• Identify yarn faults or inconsistencies and report issues promptly.
• Maintain high quality standards throughout production.
• Work closely with weaving and production teams.
• Follow health & safety and operational procedures at all times.
