Knitwear Technologist - Menswear (9 Month Contract)

As the Knitwear Technologist at COS, you will create a perfect fit for our customers while maintaining high-quality standards. You will have the opportunity to influence and lead your team technically, ensuring the Knitwear Product Development process from sketch to production aligns with our goals.

Responsibilities include:

  • Interpreting designer’s visions from sketches to final samples.
  • Achieving optimal fit and quality standards.
  • Securing product development in Menswear Knitwear, focusing on fit, size, function, quality, and construction.
  • Collaborating with designers on mock-ups, 3D prototyping, and creative solutions.
  • Creating and advising on tech packs, considering yarns, gauges, stitches, and production methods.
  • Providing technical advice for production practicality and artwork clarity.
  • Supporting creative development through proposing new techniques and silhouettes.
  • Managing measurement lists, grading, and ensuring consistency and accuracy.
  • Guiding fittings technically, including fit and construction adjustments.
  • Participating in handovers, noting details, and guiding the team.
  • Driving projects, delegating tasks, and following up.
  • Engaging in sales meetings, customer workshops, and other collaborations to stay aligned with customer needs.

Ideal candidate profile:

  • Experience as a knitwear technologist or product developer in a design studio, production office, or factory.
  • Strong technical and industrial knowledge of knitwear.
  • Proficiency with Shima, Adobe Illustrator, Microsoft Office; experience with PLM systems is a plus.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks with attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Customer-centric, solution-oriented mindset.
  • Interest in innovation and future garment techniques.
  • Experience working collaboratively within diverse teams.
