Job summary

Camira, a long-established textile manufacturer, is seeking a machine operator to operate Stoll equipment, following production plans to deliver high-quality fabrics for commercial, transport and residential markets.

You will perform quality checks, maintain machines, and participate in daily handovers. The role requires adherence to safety and environmental standards and may involve rotating shifts on a three-week pattern.

Qualifications

• Data input required.
• Experience with continuous improvement initiatives is a plus.
• Experience in a production environment or as a machine operator is beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Operate Stoll machines according to production plans.
• Label and inspect knitted products for quality.
• Maintain and adjust machines to ensure smooth operation.
• Attend daily handover meetings and follow shift procedures.
• Support changeovers to keep production flowing

Purpose of the role

To operate Stoll machines according to production plans and specifications to deliver high quality products and meet customer demands

The day to day

• Adhere to the Camira Code of Conduct and comply with all relevant quality, environmental, health & safety, data protection, and corporate legislative requirements
• Produce products to the agreed specification by following processes
• Quality checking to ensure a quality product is knitted and delivered to the customer
• Maintain Stoll machines in accordance with standard working practices to ensure smooth running operation and efficiency of the machine
• Ensure a smooth shift handover by attending daily meetings
• Change over machines to ensure smooth running of the manufacturing process

• Data Input required
• Previous experience, or an understanding of, continuous improvement initiatives
• Experience within a production environment and/or machine operator role would be beneficial

Shift Pattern

This position requires working a 3- week rotational shift pattern

• Week 1: Monday to Friday: 06:00 14:00
• Week 2: Monday to Friday: 14:00 22:00
• Week 3: Sunday to Thursday: 22:00 06:00
