Job description

Deputy Charge Nurse Opportunity - Fyvie Ward, Royal Cornhill Hospital

An exciting permanent band 6 position of 37 hours per week (full time) has arisen in Fyvie Ward, Royal Cornhill Hospital.

We are seeking an enthusiastic and highly motivated individual eager to develop leadership skills in Adult Mental Health. The candidate must possess sound clinical knowledge and be committed to providing evidence-based, person-centred care to patients experiencing acute mental health illnesses. The post holder will support the Senior Charge Nurse in providing innovative leadership to the nursing team, working within a multidisciplinary team.

About Fyvie Ward

Fyvie Ward is an Acute Adult Mental Health ward caring for patients aged 18-65 from Aberdeen City and Central Shire.

Candidate Requirements
  • Desire to develop leadership skills and style
  • Awareness of current drivers and legislation related to patient care in mental health nursing
  • NMC registration
  • Willingness to support the nursing team to meet service demands
