Job summary

Ibis London Excel is seeking a Part-Time Kitchen Team Member to join our dynamic culinary team in London. You will prepare, cook and present dishes, support food preparation and ensure a clean, safe kitchen environment in line with health and safety standards.

Ideal candidates have prior kitchen experience, good teamwork and a flexible approach to shifts including mornings, evenings and weekends. This role offers part-time hours within the Accor network and opportunities to grow within

Qualifications

• Previous experience in a similar kitchen environment.
• Strong background in food preparation and cooking techniques.
• Knowledge of proper food storage and rotation practices.
• Understanding of health and safety regulations in a kitchen setting.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Flexibility to work various shifts, including mornings, evenings, and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Prepare, cook, and present high-quality dishes, including meat, fish, and vegetables, according to established recipes and standards
• Maintain a clean and organized kitchen environment, adhering to all health and safety regulations
• Properly store and rotate food items to minimize waste and ensure freshness
• Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely and efficient food preparation and service
• Assist in adjusting menu items to accommodate guests with allergies or specific dietary concerns
• Participate in regular training sessions and team meetings to enhance culinary skills and knowledge
• Ensure adequate supplies of clean utensils, crockery, and other kitchen equipment
• Communicate effectively with kitchen and front-of-house staff to maintain smooth operations
• Contribute to a positive and collaborative work environment
• Adapt to changing priorities and handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced setting
