Job summary

Premier Inn Weymouth is looking for a Kitchen Team Leader to run the kitchen day to day, manage rotas, place orders and lead the team through busy services. You’ll own quality, hygiene and audit readiness in collaboration with the Hotel Manager.

This hands-on leadership role is designed for those aiming to develop skills toward Head Chef, with opportunities to grow within Whitbread, the UK’s leading hospitality group.

Qualifications

• Experience managing kitchen rotas and ordering
• Ability to lead a kitchen team through busy services
• Ensures food quality, portion control and hygiene standards

Responsibilities

• Own food ordering, stock control and keep food costs on track for the hotel
• Lead during service—organise the team, manage workflow and ensure smooth operations
• Prepare, cook and serve menu items to spec—from breakfasts to pub classics
• Maintain health, safety and hygiene standards and keep training records
• Step up to run shifts and help new team members settle in
• Learn kitchen management to progress to more senior roles
