Whitbread PLC invites applications for a Kitchen Team Leader at Bournemouth Westbourne Premier Inn. You will run the kitchen daily, from rotas and orders to leading busy services while partnering with the Hotel Manager.

This hands-on role provides a clear path to Head Chef through strong leadership and hygiene focus. You’ll own stock control, cost management, and high standards across service periods, preparing and serving meals to spec while ensuring safety and quality.

Qualifications

• Experience in kitchen leadership and inventory management.
• Ability to manage rotas and place food orders.
• Strong hygiene and food safety practices.

Responsibilities

• Own food ordering, stock control, and food cost management for the hotel.
• Lead during service—organise the team, manage workflow, and ensure smooth operation.
• Prepare, cook, and serve menu items to spec, from breakfasts to pub classics.
• Ensure health, safety and hygiene standards are met, training the team and keeping records updated.
• Step up to run shifts and help new team members settle in.
• Learn kitchen management to progress to more senior roles within Whitbread.
