Job summary

Village Hotels is seeking a Sous Chef and Kitchen Team Leader to bridge the Head Chef's vision with a busy service. You will own your section while supporting the wider brigade, ensuring every plate leaving the pass meets our exact standards for quality, temperature, and presentation.

You will drive food safety, manage stock to par levels, coach junior kitchen team members, and protect gross profit while leading in a fast-paced hotel kitchen.

Qualifications

• Hands-on Sous Chef capable of running a section while supporting the wider brigade.
• Strong focus on food safety, brand delivery, and HACCP/EHO directives.

Responsibilities

• Operate as a hands-on Sous Chef, running your own section and supporting others when tickets pile up.
• Drive food safety and brand delivery to ensure correct temperature and standards.
• Supervise and coach junior kitchen team members and KPs.
• Manage stock to par levels and keep paperwork for monthly stock take up to date.
