Greene King’s Community Pubs is seeking an Apprentice Kitchen Team Leader to inspire the front of house and kitchen teams while delivering a 5* guest experience in a busy pub environment. You’ll develop leadership skills and work within a welcoming local community.

This apprenticeship combines on‑the‑job training with Functional Skills English and Maths, mentor support, and regular reviews to help you grow, with an inclusive, flexible pathway in a community setting.

Qualifications

• Passion for food with high standards in preparation and presentation.
• Strong leadership and the ability to motivate and support others.
• Calm, organized approach with ability to think on your feet during busy services.
• Commitment to food safety, hygiene and cleanliness standards.

Responsibilities

• Prepare, cook, and present food to brand standards, ensuring every dish is served with pride.
• Support and guide the kitchen team, organising service and maintaining high performance during busy shifts.
• Deputise for the Kitchen Manager or senior chefs when required, helping to resolve issues and keep service running smoothly.
• Ensure all food hygiene, health & safety, and cleanliness standards are consistently met.
• Monitor stock levels, food preparation, and kitchen organisation to ensure efficient service.
