Job summary

Stonegate Pub Company is seeking a Kitchen Team Leader for Stapylton Arms in Eston/Middlesbrough area. The role focuses on supporting and mentoring the kitchen team, maintaining high standards of food knowledge, and upholding COSHH, food safety and health & safety requirements.

You will oversee daily kitchen operations, assist with stock, and ensure consistent, high-quality dishes while driving team performance and adherence to company targets.

Qualifications

• Previous kitchen leadership or senior kitchen role.
• Up-to-date COSHH, food safety and health & safety knowledge.
• Willingness to develop personally and help the brigade move forward.

Responsibilities

• Assist in food preparation and work with the Kitchen Manager.
• Produce high-quality dishes to spec for guests.
• Supervise kitchen team in the Kitchen Manager's absence.
• Assist with stock management, ordering and supplies.
• Ensure kitchen remains clean and hygienic at all times.
• Offer creative ideas to improve kitchen performance.
• Lead the team to achieve company targets.

As a Kitchen Team Leader, do you have…

• The ability to assist in supporting, coaching, and mentoring your team
• A high standard of food knowledge and skill
• An up-to-date COSHH, Food Safety, H&S, legal knowledge
• A willingness to develop on a personal level whilst also helping propel the brigade forward at Stapylton Arms

Some of the things you will be doing as a Kitchen Team Leader

• Assist in food preparation and collaborate with the Kitchen Manager
• Produce high-quality dishes consistently to specification for our guests
• Oversee and supervise the kitchen team in the absence of the Kitchen Manager.
• Assist with stock management, ordering and management of supplies.
• Ensure the kitchen is in an excellent, clean and hygienic condition at all times.
• Offer suggestions and creative ideas that can improve the kitchen’s performance.
• lead the team to achieve company targets.
