Job summary

The Minster Tavern, part of Stonegate Group, is looking for a Kitchen Team Leader in Ely. You will lead the kitchen team, mentor staff, uphold food safety standards, and help drive the brigade forward to deliver high-quality dishes.

You will collaborate with the Kitchen Manager, manage stock, ensure cleanliness, and contribute creative ideas to boost performance. If you are a hands-on leader with a passion for great pub cuisine, apply now.

Qualifications

• Coaching, mentoring, and developing a kitchen team.
• Strong knowledge of traditional pub food and cooking techniques.
• Up-to-date COSHH, Food Safety, and health & safety knowledge.
• Willingness to grow professionally and drive the brigade forward.

Responsibilities

• Assist in food preparation and work with Kitchen Manager.
• Produce high-quality dishes to specification for guests.
• Oversee and supervise the kitchen when Kitchen Manager is absent.
• Assist with stock management, ordering and supplies.
• Maintain excellent cleanliness and hygiene of the kitchen.
• Offer ideas to improve kitchen performance and efficiency.
• Lead the team to achieve company targets.

Are you a Kitchen Team Leader or an experienced Kitchen Team Member who is ready to take the next step. As a Kitchen Team Leader you will play a pivotal role in our business success, whilst there will be an opportunity to develop your skills to enhance your career.

As a Kitchen Team Leader, do you have…

• The ability to assist in supporting, coaching, and mentoring your team
• A high standard of food knowledge and skill
• An up-to-date COSHH, Food Safety, H&S, legal knowledge
• A willingness to develop on a personal level whilst also helping propel the brigade forward at Minster Tavern

Some of the things you will be doing as a Kitchen Team Leader

• Assist in food preparation and collaborate with the Kitchen Manager
• Produce high-quality dishes consistently to specification for our guests
• Oversee and supervise the kitchen team in the absence of the Kitchen Manager.
• Assist with stock management, ordering and management of supplies.
• Ensure the kitchen is in an excellent, clean and hygienic condition at all times.
• Offer suggestions and creative ideas that can improve the kitchen’s performance.
• lead the team to achieve company targets.
