Job summary

Stonegate Group in London is seeking a Kitchen Team Leader to guide the kitchen brigade at Crutched Friar. You will support and mentor the team, ensure high standards of food quality, and maintain COSHH, Food Safety, and H&S compliance.

Join a busy, welcoming pub environment with a focus on British classics and a strong guest experience. A leadership role with scope to develop your career within a renowned hospitality group.

Qualifications

• Ability to assist in supporting, coaching, and mentoring your team.
• High standard of food knowledge and skill.
• Up-to-date COSHH, Food Safety, H&S, and legal knowledge.
• Willingness to develop personally while helping the brigade at Crutched Friar.

Responsibilities

• Assist in food preparation and collaborate with the Kitchen Manager.
• Produce high-quality dishes consistently to specification.
• Oversee and supervise the kitchen team in the absence of the Kitchen Manager.
• Assist with stock management, ordering and management of supplies.
• Ensure the kitchen is clean and hygienic at all times.
• Offer creative ideas to improve kitchen performance.
• Lead the team to achieve company targets.

• The ability to assist in supporting, coaching, and mentoring your team

• An up-to-date COSHH, Food Safety, H&S, legal knowledge
• A willingness to develop on a personal level whilst also helping propel the brigade forward at Crutched Friar

Some of the things you will be doing as a Kitchen Team Leader

• Assist in food preparation and collaborate with the Kitchen Manager
• Produce high-quality dishes consistently to specification for our guests
• Oversee and supervise the kitchen team in the absence of the Kitchen Manager.
• Assist with stock management, ordering and management of supplies.
• Ensure the kitchen is in an excellent, clean and hygienic condition at all times.
• Offer suggestions and creative ideas that can improve the kitchen’s performance.
• lead the team to achieve company targets.

The Crutched Friars (cross-bearing brethren) was a Roman Catholic order which settled on this site in 1249. The order was suppressed by Henry VIII during the dissolution of the monasteries, and today, named after the staff they carried, surmounted by a crucifix, our delightful pub sits in their place. Though steeped in history, our pub offers far more than just a fascinating past. With a vast menu of British classics and unique indulgences served alongside a wide selection of cask and craft ales, wines, spirits and cocktails, we're the perfect spot for a little rest and relaxation in the city.
