Job summary

Greene King pub in Bedford is seeking a Kitchen Team Leader to drive culinary excellence and teamwork in a fast-paced service environment. You will guide the kitchen crew, ensure every dish meets high standards, and support managers when needed to keep service running smoothly.

Ideal candidates will excel under pressure, communicate clearly, and maintain allergen controls while delivering consistently great meals to guests at our local pub in Bedford. This role is full-time and based in-house.

Qualifications

• Ability to work under pressure in a busy kitchen and pull together as a team when needed.
• A passion for delivering tasty and well-presented meals to customers each and every time.
• Be a role model to the team by maintaining high standards and making sure every customer receives the perfect plate.
• An ability to think on your feet and adapt to whatever challenges arise during a busy service.
• Sufficient spoken and written English to perform the role safely and understand allergen controls.

Responsibilities

• Prepare, cook, and present food that meets specs and customer expectations.
• Maintain hygiene levels and safety regulations in the kitchen to help guarantee the safety of your entire team and visitors.
• Deputise for the management team and resolve any issues that arise in their absence.

Job Description

As a Kitchen Team Leader, you’ll lead by example making sure the team have everything they need so service runs like clockwork! You’ll support your team by encouraging and helping them to work well together, ensuring every dish served is of the highest standards.
