Greene King is hiring a Kitchen Team Leader to oversee busy service in our pubs. You’ll lead by example, ensuring every dish meets high standards, supporting the team, and maintaining kitchen hygiene and safety.

Ideally you thrive under pressure, motivate colleagues, and role-model excellence in food quality and guest experience. Strong English skills and the ability to adapt during peak periods are essential.

Qualifications

• Prepare, cook and present food to meet specs and customer expectations.
• Maintain hygiene levels and safety regulations in the kitchen.
• Deputise for the management team and resolve issues during absence.
• Coordinate the team during busy service to keep service smooth.
• Strong English spoken/written to perform role safely and handle allergen controls.

Job Description

As a Kitchen Team Leader, you’ll lead by example making sure the team have everything they need so service runs like clockwork! You’ll support your team by encouraging and helping them to work well together, ensuring every dish served is of the highest standards.

Qualifications

As a Kitchen Team Leader, you will…

• Prepare, cook, and present food that meets specs and customer expectations.
• Maintain hygiene levels and safety regulations in the kitchen to help guarantee the safety of your entire team and visitors.
• Deputise for the management team and resolve any issues that arise in their absence.

What you’ll bring…

• Ability to work under pressure in a busy kitchen and pull together as a team when needed.
• A passion for delivering tasty and well-presented meals to customers each and every time.
• Be a role model to the team by maintaining high standards and making sure every customer receives the perfect plate.
• An ability to think on your feet and adapt to whatever challenges arise during a busy service.
• Sufficient spoken and written English to perform the role safely and understand allergen controls.
