Job summary

Paget High School is seeking a Kitchen Assistant to support the school catering operation. You will wash, dry and store utensils, clean dining areas, and assist during meal service while upholding hygiene and safety standards.

The role requires reliable, well organised teamwork and a willingness to undertake training as required. Prior catering experience is desirable but not essential, as full training will be provided.

Responsibilities

• Wash, dry and store kitchen utensils, trays, cutlery and equipment.
• Clean kitchen, dining areas, furniture and equipment.
• Support the Catering Supervisor and kitchen team during meal service.
• Maintain high standards of food hygiene, cleanliness and health and safety.
• Work cooperatively with colleagues to ensure the smooth running of the kitchen.
