Job summary

The Hippodrome Casino in London is seeking a reliable Steward to support both kitchen and front-of-house operations within Paddy’s department. You will perform dishwashing duties, maintain cleanliness and safety standards, and assist with waste handling and deep cleaning of equipment.

This role requires a safety-focused mindset, good presentation, and a willingness to contribute to the wider kitchen team during busy service periods.

Qualifications

• Ability to wash dishes, glassware, cutlery, pots, pans and kitchen equipment efficiently.
• Maintain high standards of cleanliness, hygiene and safety across kitchen and staff areas.
• Familiarity with COSHH, Health & Safety regulations and food hygiene best practices.

Responsibilities

• Wash dishes, glassware, cutlery, pots, pans and kitchen equipment by hand or using machines.
• Transport clean crockery and equipment to service areas during busy periods.
• Clean and sanitize all food preparation areas and back-of-house zones.
• Keep kitchen corridors and walkways clean and safe.
• Carry out deep cleaning of heavy kitchen equipment and walk-ins.
• Perform daily cleaning of staff canteen and manage waste as required.
• Handle cleaning chemicals safely per procedures.
