Job summary

The Kings Head Hotel in Beccles, operated by J D Wetherspoon, is hiring a Kitchen shift manager to support the kitchen and pub managers. You will run shifts, lead a team, and ensure sales, profit and compliance targets are met.

You must be ready to work a 40-hour week, deliver excellent service, and adhere to SOPs while supporting a safe, clean, and efficient kitchen operation. Training and development are offered as part of a comprehensive package.

Qualifications

• Confident leadership and people management abilities.
• Ability to work unsupervised and manage shifts.
• Customer service focus and attention to quality standards.

Responsibilities

• Deliver high standards in cleanliness, product quality, customer service, maintenance and atmosphere.
• Comply with SOPs and company policies to maintain a safe, legal workplace.
• Take responsibility for achieving financial targets and managing kitchen operations.
• Forecast sales and costs, review P&L, and maximize sales opportunities.
• Lead and motivate the kitchen team during shifts and across varied hours.
