Brockenhurst College is recruiting a Kitchen Production Lead in a full-time, permanent position to deliver culinary teaching across Levels 1 to 3 Hospitality, Catering and Professional Cookery. The post holder will oversee practical learning environments, ensure safety and industry-standard practices, and support high-quality student outcomes.

Qualifications

• Must have strong practical culinary skills and industry knowledge.
• Excellent organisational and planning abilities.
• Knowledge of food safety legislation and health & safety requirements.
• Understanding of stock control and food cost management.
• Ability to maintain accurate records and documentation.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• IT competence to support teaching and admin tasks.
• Ability to motivate and inspire students to reach their potential.

Responsibilities

• Deliver ambitious teaching across Levels 1–3 Hospitality, Catering and Professional Cookery programmes.
• Model current industry practice in practical delivery environments.
• Ensure internal quality processes are followed.
• Track student progress effectively.
• Develop enrichment opportunities and lead educational visits when appropriate.
• Support colleagues in maintaining culinary standards and operations.
• Lead ordering, receipt and storage of food supplies and kitchen resources.
