Job summary

Cosy Club Leicester is seeking a Kitchen Porter to support our kitchen team during the festive period. You will help with cleaning, dishwashing and basic food prep, gaining experience in a busy commercial kitchen. Training is provided, with clear progression opportunities to chef for those who excel.

This temporary Christmas contract offers fair shifts, meals on shift, paid breaks and benefits including Wagestream, plus a 50% discount on food and drinks from day one across our brands.

Qualifications

• Experience as a Kitchen Porter or in a busy kitchen is welcome, but not required.
• Ability to work cleanly and safely in a kitchen environment.
• Willingness to learn and take direction from chefs.

Responsibilities

• Assist with food preparation alongside the kitchen team.
• Operate and maintain the dishwasher and washing area.
• Keep the kitchen area clean, tidy and safe at all times.
• Support chefs during busy service periods.
• Take part in basic food hygiene practices and safety procedures.

If you've had previous experience before as a KP, great! If not, then we still want to hear from you, experience is not necessary.

You will be supporting our team of chefs by assisting with food preparation, operating the dishwasher, and keeping the kitchen clean, tidy and safe.

This could be an ideal position for someone looking to start in a commercial kitchen. Full training will be provided and there is plenty of progression opportunity for promotion to chef.

This position is available on a temporary Christmas contract. The details of the contract will be agreed upon with the hiring manager during the interview process. Any temporary contracts can be extended to permanent on the discretion of the hiring manager.
