Ru, located in Belfast, is seeking a Kitchen Porter to join the opening kitchen team. You will help maintain cleanliness and organization, support chefs, and ensure HACCP compliance in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Maintain cleanliness throughout the kitchen and other back-of-house spaces.
• Wash dishes, utensils, cookware and kitchen equipment efficiently, safely and to a high standard.
• Assist with deliveries, stock rotation, and storage of food and kitchen supplies.
• Support chefs with basic food preparation tasks as required.
• Ensure full compliance with food safety, hygiene and HACCP standards.

Belfast's newest restaurant,Ru, is looking for a hardworking and reliable Kitchen Porter to join our opening kitchen team.

Born from two rich food cultures, Ru blends bold Indian flavours with exceptional Irish produce. Our menu is a modern interpretation of Indian cooking - vibrant, seasonal, and designed for sharing.

Located on Ann Street and open for lunch and dinner, Ru will be the first to open amongst a number of adjoining venues, including a pub, cocktail bar and terrace, vinyl listening bar and club space in 2026.

The role

As kitchen porter, you will play a valuable role in the smooth running of the kitchen by ensuring high standards of cleanliness, hygiene and organisation are maintained at all times.
