Job summary

Thomas Franks Ltd in Bournemouth is seeking a Kitchen Porter to join our established team at a private day and boarding school location. You will help maintain cleanliness, assist chefs with prep, and ensure equipment is clean and ready. The role is Monday to Friday with no late nights and free on-site parking.

Experience with pot wash is preferred but not essential. Strong teamwork, organisation, and English communication skills are important for daily operations.

Qualifications

• Experience of pot wash duties would be an advantage.
• Organisation skills are essential.
• Ability to demonstrate reasonable written and spoken English.

Responsibilities

• Keep kitchen hygienic, safe and clean to high standards.
• Assist Chefs with food preparation when needed and operate the dishwasher.

Contract: Full Time , Permanent
Salary: 12.71
Hours: 25 per week

A private day and boarding school for girls aged 2–18 located in Talbot Woods, Bournemouth. Catering for about 520 students and teachers daily. We offer a core feeding of Breakfast, Lunch and Supper plus some great hospitality over the year. This is a Monday-Friday role. Additional benefit of this location is free parking on site.

We currently have a fantastic opportunity for a Kitchen Porter to join our established & friendly team at our prestigious location in Bournemouth.

You’ll be playing a big part in keeping the kitchen hygienic, safe, and up to our very high standards of cleanliness.

• Experience of pot wash duties would be an advantage
• Great team player
• Be able to help the Chefs with some food prep
• Ensure high standards of cleanliness at all times
• Clean and maintain all kitchen equipment
• Clean allocated pieces of heavy catering equipment using instructions and cleaning materials including air filter and extraction systems.
• Operate industrial dishwasher

We are looking for:

• Kitchen Porter experience is preferred, but not essential.
• Organisation Skills.
• Ability to demonstrate reasonable / good understanding and use of verbal English.
• Ability to demonstrate reasonable / good standard of written English and reading skills.
• Similar experience of customer and / or food preparation environment is preferred
