Job summary
BM Caterers in London (Bishopsgate) is looking for a hardworking Kitchen Porter to help keep our busy kitchen running smoothly. The role involves keeping the kitchen clean, washing utensils and equipment, and supporting basic food preparation.
You will work a rotating shift pattern (06:30–22:30) with a salary of 30,888 GBP per year, joining a supportive team and gaining access to funded development courses, apprenticeship opportunities, paid days off, free lunch on shift, and a range of employee
Qualifications
- A positive attitude and strong work ethic.
- Reliability and willingness to learn.
- Ability to work well as part of a team.
- Good attention to cleanliness and hygiene.
- Confidence following instructions carefully.
- Previous kitchen experience is helpful but not essential.
Responsibilities
- Keep the kitchen clean, tidy and hygienic.
- Wash utensils, equipment and work areas thoroughly.
- Support with basic food preparation where needed.
- Help with deliveries, storage and stock movement.
- Follow food safety, COSHH and health and safety procedures.
- Support chefs and the wider kitchen team during service.
- Help create a safe and efficient working environment.
