Job summary

SSP Group is seeking a Kitchen Porter at Birmingham Airport on a fixed-term contract until the end of January 2027. The role offers a base pay of £12.85 per hour, with an extra £1.20 per hour for hours from midnight to 6 AM, bringing the total to £14.05 per hour.

Working hours are 3am–12am across weekdays, weekends, and holidays, with tips and service charge opportunities. The role supports chefs with basic prep, keeps kitchens clean, and helps maintain food safety standards.

Qualifications

• 5 years of references and Criminal Record Check required.
• Applicants must be 18 years of age or older to perform certain tasks or shifts.
• Previous kitchen experience is desirable but not required; full training provided.

Responsibilities

• Support chefs with basic prep and waste management.
• Keep kitchen areas clean, including dishes, surfaces and floors.
• Contribute to maintaining kitchen and food safety standards.
