Job summary

Crowne Plaza Marlow is seeking a reliable Kitchen Porter to support our busy hotel kitchen team. You will help maintain high standards of cleanliness, organisation and efficiency to ensure an exceptional dining experience for guests. You will also assist with basic food preparation when required and help the team during busy service periods.

Experience is desirable but not essential. We value a positive attitude, teamwork, reliability and flexibility to work shifts, including evenings, weekends

Qualifications

• Previous experience in a kitchen or hospitality environment is desirable but not essential.
• A positive attitude and willingness to learn.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
• Reliable, punctual, and able to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Flexibility to work shifts, including evenings, weekends, and public holidays.
• Ability to carry out physical tasks, including lifting, standing, and working in a busy kitchen environment.

Responsibilities

• Maintain cleanliness and hygiene standards throughout the kitchen and back-of-house areas.
• Wash and clean crockery, cutlery, pots, pans, and kitchen equipment.
• Operate the dishwasher and ensure all items are cleaned and stored correctly.
• Assist chefs with basic food preparation tasks when required.
• Keep kitchen areas, floors, storage areas, and equipment clean and organised.
• Dispose of waste and recycling safely in accordance with hotel procedures.
• Receive, store, and rotate deliveries following food safety guidelines.
• Ensure cleaning supplies and kitchen areas are well stocked.
• Support the kitchen team during busy service periods.
• Follow all health and safety, food hygiene, and HACCP procedures.
• Maintain a safe working environment by reporting hazards or equipment issues promptly.
