Preston Leyland Hotel, Signature Collection By Best Western is seeking a reliable Kitchen Porter to join the kitchen team. You will help keep the kitchen running smoothly, safely and efficiently, supporting chefs with preparation and set‑up while maintaining high hygiene and organisation standards.

Qualifications

• Must be reliable and hardworking
• Ability to work in a fast-paced kitchen environment
• Good teamwork and communication with the kitchen staff
• Willingness to learn and follow food safety guidelines

Responsibilities

• Wash and clean dishes, pots, pans and kitchen equipment thoroughly and efficiently
• Keep all kitchen areas clean, tidy and organised throughout the shift
• Sweep and mop floors and manage waste and recycling responsibly
• Assist with basic food preparation tasks such as peeling and chopping vegetables
• Receive, check and store deliveries of food and kitchen supplies correctly
• Support kitchen set‑up and close‑down procedures
• Clean cooking equipment and work surfaces to hygiene standards
• Follow all food safety, hygiene and health & safety guidelines at all times
• Work collaboratively with the kitchen team to support smooth service
• Report any maintenance, hygiene or health & safety concerns promptly
